Archbishop Redwood, assisted by Biskop Grimes, this afternoon formally opened the Nazareth House at Sydenham, an institution for the reception of orphans and aged indigent people of all creeds. WELLINGTON PROPERTY SALE. Wellington, Saturday. , The property in Willis-street known as Hume's Buildings, with four-storied 'brick building and a frontage of 50 feet, has changed hands at nearly £28,000, T. Cloverdale being the purchaser. SLAUGHTERMEN'S AGREEMENT. Wellington. Saturday. The slaughtermen's agreement has been filled. It provides that the ordinary day's work shall not exceed eight hours and four hours on Saturday. Rates of ■pay for freezing sheep and lambs are 25s per 100. Holidays allowed are Ist January, Christmas Day, Boxing Day. King's Birthdav, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Labor Dav, and two other days to be arranged. Preference is granted on the usual conditions.
