BUSINESS NOTICES.

'Mslny patrons of the Winter Show were surprised to find that in New Plymouth we have firms that can execute all classes of bookbinding and accounthook manufacture. The exhibit of Mr. T. Avery in the Employers' Association's central group of trade displays is one that impressed this upon the people, for it contains some fine specimens of workmanship. Mr. J. VT. YTii>on, .secretary of the Camerated Concrete Company of Tnranaki, draws our attention to the fact that in our notice concerning the Camerated Concrete Company's exhibit at the Winter Show we referred to buildings erected in ferro-concrete. This, of course, was an error. Camerated concrete has no connection with ferro-con-crete, and is a far cheaper method of construction.

The Melbourne's great rebuilding sale has been justly described as "the wonderful sale of the year." It certainly is the most unique and most powerful value-giving sale ever introduced in Taranaki. It overwhelmingly overshadows all previous efforts to dispose of surplus stock. The exigencies of rebuilding demand rapid stock-reducing, and to achieve this prices have been mercilessly cut in every department of the great'corner store. In this issue appears a notice in regard to a big sale to be 'held at Mr. J. Blyth's premises. Mr. Blyth has decided to retire from business, twl has instructed Mr. A. M. Bryden, of Auckland, to conduct a rousin? sale, the object being to clear out every line of the stock in quick time The premises will be closed to-day and to-morrow for marking-down operations.

Those interested in the formation of the Vogeltown Tennis C!ub, with courts in the, Pukekura Park, are requested to attend a meeting at the office of the manager of the Union Steamship Company at 5 o'clock this evening. The business will be of a preliminary nature, and the proceedings brief.' During this week White and Sons have considerably augmented their stock of colonial - manufactured goods. Chief among these are Kaiapoi 'blankets of varying qualities, but all good. Then Onehunga mills are represented with another range of blankets. Roslyn underwear in both the men's and ■women's de-| partments figure largely, and, despite the rise in the raw material, some exceptionally fine values are shown. Heavy shirtings and tweeds from the Petone mills are other lines of great merit. Costumes, coats, suits, shirts, etc., all made in the Dominion, give further evidence of the wide range of colonial goods to be had at White's—lAdvt.

Will you call and see our Is sheetings vzxt time you are in town. We stock these in white and brown from 54 to 72 inches wide, and reckon they are the best value in the Dominion.—Morey and Moore. The Busy Cash Store, opposite Carnegie Library, King-street, New P)vmonth.—Advt. ,

Messrs; Ambury Bros, have an advertisement in this issue dealing with their exceedingly large stock of winter wear ing apparel. In eve.y conceivable liny the firm has made its preparations for a good season's business, and the puhlit have been quick to appreciate the enterprise, splendid service, and tip-top value w'l.ich mark the business-of this popular establishment. There are some very fine window displays at- their premises just now. notably that dealing with ladies evening wear, whilst mothers find much ,tc. interest them in the woollen jersey suits for the little chaps. Men's and bovs' wear is the care of a separue - f afT in its own distinct department, and tin . - is a fine stock.—Advt.
