FIRES.
BLAZE .AT BLENHEIM. siy felegraph—Press Association. Blenheim, Last Night. At midnight on Saturday a fire completely destroyed St. Patrick's Hall in the vicinity of the Roman Catholic Church, together with the Catholic Club rooms attached.
It almost wholly destroyed a twostoried residence adjoining, formerly used as a convent, and damaged a house belonging to Mr. Burgess behind the hall. The origin of the five is not known, and full details of the insurances are not yet available. It is understood, however, that all the buildings were insured, the hall for £SOO. The billiard table in the clubrooms and other furniture were lost.
