KEARNEY PLEADS- GUILTY. By Telegraph —Press Association. Auckland, Last 'Night. Frederick Kearney, the burglar who created something of a sensation at Remuera on the evening of Sunday, 22nd May, by getting caught as he was leaving Mr. William Main's house with some valuable jewellery and various odds aim ends of a housebreaker's equipment in his possession, appeared to answer a charge of breaking and entering and theft in the Police Court to-dav. L'risoner pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
