SI'DDEX DEATH OX A LAI'XCH. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Monday. A single man named Henry Clwirles Stevens, aged died suddenly on the oil launch Floral to-day. He luul been working- on a farm at Maratai, and complained yesterday of feeling unwell, He was advised to consult a doctor, ami joined the Floral at Whitford to-day for Auckland. W hen the launch was oil' liowiok Stevens suddenly expire.l. The body brought m to tin* city and •placed in the. morgue. THE RAILWAY FATALITY. Christchurc.li, Tuesday. A the inquest on the body of Richard Richardson, who was killed 'by falling off the Lyttelton train yesterday, the evidence showed that deceased lately had an attack of paralysis. He was apparently trying to cross from one carriage to the next, and slipped. A verdict of accidental death was returned. A CARTER'S SI'DDEX DEATH. Christehurch. Last Xight. Thomas Williams, a well-known carter, died suddenly this afternoon, shortly after i o'clock, while following his occupation. It appears that Mr. Williams, with his horse -and van, was in Bar-badoes-street, near the gasworks, and was seen to fall forward in his van. When he was ipickcd up life was extinct. FOUND DEAD. Christehurch, Last Night. A man named Patrick O'Connell was found dead in his 'house at Duke street to-day. HORSEWOMAN INJURED. Timaru, Last Night. At Sutherland's a young woman named Mel lor was thrown from a horse and sustained concussion of the brain. Slie is in a critical condition.
