CIVIL SERVANTS' CONFERENCE
REFORMS URGED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A conference of the New Zealand Civil Service Association was held at Wellington this evening. Delegates from all parts of New Zealand attended. The secretary's report, advocating l the classification of the service and the establishment of a monthly journal, was adopted. It was decided to urge the Government to exempt contributions to the Superannuation Fund from income It was also decided to urge that officers receiving payment in kind (such as bouse allowance, etc.) should have it assessed as salary for superannuation purposes.
