Lamb. Market firm, general active demand, output satisfactory; Canterbury 5%d, other than Canterbury s'/ B d. Beef.—Market firm; prices continue to advance; supplies of American chilled beef are small; there are signs of improvement in the beef market; New Zealand hinds 3d, fores 4%d. Butter. Market quiet, tendency in favor of buyers; choicest New Zeatand butter 100s, Danish 113s, Siberian 100s, Australian 101s. Cheese. —Market rather quiet; finest New Zealand cheese ofis. Hemp.—Market very depressed; New Zealand good fair on spot £25, New Zealand fair on spot £24; fair current Manila on spot £23 10s. Forward shipment, New Zealand good fair ,£24 os, New Zealand fair £23 ss, fair current Manila £22 ss. The output from Manila for the week is 25,000 bales. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having received the following cable messages from their London house under date of the 26th inst.:— Frozen Meat.—N.Z. lamb and beef are in wood demand, with a firmer market, whilst mutton is in poor demand with an unchanged market. To-day's quotai tions are as follows: N.Z. prime ox beef, fores, 4%d; do., hinds, 5%d; N.Z. prime crossbred lamb. Canterbury, heavy. sy»d; do., light, .'i 3 / 8 d; do., North Tslawl. heavy, acl; do., light, o%d; N.Z. prime crossbred mutton. Canterbury heavy, 3'/>d; tio., light, 3%d; do.. Tallow.—As' compared with our wire of 11th May. prices are fit! lower. j The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.. have received the following cablegram from their LoHon House under date 27th inst.: —'"Frozen meat: There is more enquiry for mutton.
