General Botha has provisionally completed his Cabinet, but the full list of names will not be announced till May 31. Lord Gladstone is now visiting Pretoria. UNIONIST PARTY FORMED. , UNDER DR. JAMESON. Received May 25, 10.15 p.m. Capetown, May 25. The Progressive Conference at Bloemfoiitein decided to form a Unionist party for South Africa. Dr. Jameson was unanimously elected leader, and received an ovation. He subsequently remarked that Lord Gladstone had chosen the mnn having the largest following, and, judging from General Botha's past, he believed lie would do his best. Dr. Jameson summed up the new party's • policy as being one giving equality of opportunity, and ' providing for the material development of South Africa in the common interest and legitimate protection of South Africans, and j reciprocal preference within the Empire. He hoped to get. rid of the bugbear of racialism. I
