THE REMUERA SENSATION.
MR. MAINS' CAPTIVE. CHARGED WITH BREAKING AND ENTERING. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Frederick Kearney, the man captured by Mr. Mains at his residence <tt Remuera on Saturday night, appeared in Court this morning to answer a charge of breaking and entering and theft. He is alleged to have stolen a gold watch Avorth £l2, a gold chain worth £B, a gold bracelet worth £6, and a gold ring worth £2. Although not asked to plead, he entered his plea of "not guilty," and was remanded for eight days.
