FIRES.
EXTENSIVE OUTBREAK IN A VILLAGE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Shannon, May 28. A fire occurred on Monday niglht which destroyed a row of buildings adjoining Stansell's auction mart and Monteath's billiard saloon. The fire first spread to the Silver Grid, Stansell's auction rooms, and a boardinghouse, which were all destroyed. There is no brigade in the town and no fire 'bell. The insurances are not known as yet. If your property is not insured, call at or ring up the United Insurance Company, Ltd., Devon street. Telephone 198.
