PETITION FOR RELEASE. By Cable —Press Association—Copyrrght Received May (i. S p.m. * Sydney, May 6. A deputation of State Labor members waited on the Solicitor-General and presented a petition in favor of the release of the strike leaders, on the ground that, industrial peace having been restored, the public peace was not jeopardised by their release. The prisoners were men of good character, whose offences were committed as representatives of their organisations. The Solicitor-General promised consideration.
