NAPIER HARBOR BOARD'S LOAN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. On the hearing of a petition ana objection, Mr. McCarthy, S.M., to-day ordered a recount and scrutiny in connection with the recent poll on the Napier Harbor Board's loan proposal, which was lost. Mr. McCarthy said the Returning Officer, in announcing the result on the night of the polling, had in some cases to rely on figures given by deputies by telephone. In the circumstances, looking at possibilities of mistakes occurring in telephoning, he thought a case been made out for a recount. The recount and scrutiny was commenced this afternoon, and will 'be continued tomorrow.
