Mr. George H. Duncan, formerly caretaker of the North Kgmont Mountain House, was washed off the-Napier breakwater yesterday and drowned.

A cable received yesterday announced the death at Sydney of the Hon. E. W. O'Sullivan. member' of the Xew South Wales Assembly and a former Minister of the Crown.
v Constable W. Kelly, of.Rahotu, who has been on a live weeks' holiday to Auklaml and the North, returned to Xew Plymouth by the Karawa yesterday morning. He was accompanied byMrs. Kelly. J
