Dr. Doyen, the famous Parisian surgeon, announces that lie has discover*:! phagogenous calloids, which form the basis of a new liquid called mycolysine. The liquid confers immunity against the majority of infectious diseases, notably those of the respiratory and, digestive organs and skin, by increasing the activity of tile phagocytes. The phagocytes are the living organisms in the blood endowed by nature with an instinct to tight a foe. On the. introduction of a foe into the system the phagocytes rush to the fray. It depends -upon the physical 'health of the human being who is the host whether the phagocytes are victors or vanquished.
