The Irish Butter Committee's report states that -the stoppage of production for winter is most harmful to the industry. and advices the manufacture of butter during the winter, thus obviating the objectionable practice hitherto customary of Irish creameries purchasing colonial and foreign butters and re-sell-ing them without any indication if their origin were Irish or not.
