A luncheon was held at the Savoy Hotel in connection with the promotion of a pageant of the Empire. Lord Plymouth presided over a company of 200. winch included Lords Deslmrough, Wenlock. Ki::n«;rd and Barnard, many commercial representative men, and a number of Australian and other overseas representatives. Earl Grey and Lord Selborne sent cablegrams, and Lord Crewe a letter, warmly supporting the idea. The principal speakers were Lords Plymouth, Marlborough, and Sir Peter Bain.
