FATAL RESULT OF A FALL. By Telegraph.—Press' Association Auckland, February 22. C. A. Redgrave, of Wellington, who sustained serious injuries by a fall o'n a ferry steamer on Sunday, died in the hospital lasit night. KNOCKED DOWN BY A CAB. Wellington, Last Night. Thos. Redmond, a Customs offici-r, who was knocked down by a cab in Wellington on February l'4th, died from his injuries at the hospital to-night. I'e was 39 years of age, and unmarried. AN OLD MAN'S SUICIDE. Christchurch, Last Night. An old man named Thomas Rhodes Christian, 6!) years of age, was found, hanging in his wood-turning shop in Madras street this morning, and disd shortly after being cut down. The old man was employed by his son in the wood-turning business, and went, io work as usual this morning. His hea'th of late had not been good, and when he arrived at the shop this morning he was no better. Shortly before ten o'clock he was found hanging by the fn'eck from a cross-beam in the shop. A running noose of sash cord was around his neck, the end being fixed to 'he beam. He was at once cut' down, and \ was found to be still alive. A doctor was sent for, who arrived promptly, J and applied measures to restore animation, but without avail, and the <dd man died at 11 a.m. I
