ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
PERRY BOAT INCIDENT. By Telegraph.—Press,' Association. Auckland, February 21. On Sunday morning Mr. C.. A. Redgrave, accountant, of Wellington, when leaving a ferry boat, slipped and fell to the tower ' deck, striking his head against a projection. He was picked up unconscious and conveyed to the hospital suffering from concussion of the brain. An operation was performed last night and hopes are entertained of his recovery.
AN AUCKLAND .MYSTERY.
Auckland. February 21. The dead body of Charles Gilbert, a storekeeper, was found in a ditch beyond Kaukapakapa with several stabs in the left arm. In liis pocket was a blood-stained knife. A paper inside nls hat bore the following:—"Too done tip to go any further, lost coat and all contents."
