SATURDAY COMPETITION INGLEWOOD v. WAREHOUSEMEN. This mutch was continued on the Western I'ark ground on Saturday, unjder perfect weather conditions. The I Warehousemen, with live wickets down for 41 runs, resumed batting with Wiljiiams and Greene, Mcßae and Kinsella bowling for Inglewood. The runs came I slowly, but contrary to prophecy the .Warehousemen's tail wagged somewhat, and the total was taken to 75 before the last wicket fell, when Williams was ■ bowled by Mcßae, after making a useful score of 28 for his side. Mcßae obtained the best average in the bowling department with five wickets for 27. Re- : quiring 105 runs to win. Imglewood commenced their second innings, and by • liard hitting got to within 20 runs of i the Warehousemen's total. The fourth • wicket, Sutherland and Thomson, added i 30 runs, but the remaining batsmen '• were not successful in securing many ■runs.
