AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. By Telegraph.—Press' Association. Received February 5, 7.5 p.m. Sydney, February 5. The championship swimming meeting was continued to-day. Results:— 440 yards' championship—Beaurepaire 1, Hardwick 2, Mason 3. Won by 18 yards. Time, smin. 3G l-ssee. 220 yards breast stroke championship. —Richardson I. Finney 2, Ruston 3 (all ■ Victorians). Won by three feet, Time, iSmin. lGsec. w , ~,., ; *. , I -•'«■< [ The relay race swam on Friday night [between East End and West End'resulted in a dead heat after an exciting Istruggle. The water polo match was won by the Eas't End by 5 goals to 2. The West End were handicapped by bavin o ' to play a man short, but they played up well notwithstanding. For the winners Chamberlin scored 3 goals and Pfankuch 2, while Laing and Tressidor each scored one for West End. Mr. W. Lints referced.
