The seismograph at Riverview College yesterday recorded a severe shock of earthquake originating probably in the Tasman Sea, 400 miles south-east of Hobart. PLAGUE IN NOUMEA. Sydney, January 31. The Health Department has been advised of a case of plague near Noumea.
