In reply to telegrams from his eldest daughter, Princess Louise, and his' second daughter. Princess Stephanie, King Leopold said lie would refuse to see them.

Cardinal Alercia made an unavailing personal appeal on their behalf. In spite of the refusal Princess Stephanie lias arrived at Brussels. King Leopold had a fair night.
