TRANSATLANTIC LINERS' STEERAGE ACCOAIMODATIQN.

The United States Immigration Commission has issTied an extraordinary report, based on the voyages of its secret agents, on the steerage condition of the transatlantic liners. It says that the sleeping quarters are filthy, and that the male stewards, the crew, and the male steerage .passengers on many of the steamships crowd the women's compartments. Their language and manners, it alleges, are revolting and insulting. The Cunard, White Star, and other companies indignantly deny the allegations.
