OUTBREAK IX WELLINGTON. By Tpi«(;r, l( ,h.—PrcH Association. Wellington, December 14 A fire took place at 3.1!) o'clock this morning in Ingeslre I'laee, where'a flveroomed liousv, occupied 'by HcnriettLockerbie, was seriously damaged. The ire spread to adjoining houses occupied by James Liddell and Beatrice Davis The former building, of five rooms, was badly damaged on the first floor by fir;, and the bottom floor was damaged bv water. The latter building, of tml rooms, had a side wall and a bedroom with contents badly damagoH by Arc, and the lower rooms damaged by water i Mrs. Lockerbie had her furniture m •wed for £l5O in the South British olli.e. Liddell'g was insured for £IOO in the Commercial Union. Davis was uninsured. The houses are owned by Miss Kmma Siddels, and are insured in the Commercial Union for £BSO £3"(> anil £250 respectively. ' A laborer named James Wallace a boarder at Mrs. Lockerbie's house, jump. «'.l from an upper storey window aiid fell on a picket fence, breaking two ribs He was. removed to the hospital for treatment.
