EXCEPTION' TAKEN TO CKAWiFOKD.
By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyngni I Melbourne December 14. The New South Wales Cricket Association wrote to the Victorian Association taking exception to J. N. Crawford, the •Surrey cricketer, being allowed to play or (south Australia until he had resided there for three months. It pointed out that under the agreement between the Mates taking part in the Sheffield Shield contest, three months' residence was necessary before any cricketer could -play for a State. The Victorian Association decided, as it had not come to an aTeeincut with South-Australia on the "sublet, it had no objection to Crawford's playing.
