THE TIMARU TO CHRISTCHURCH RACB.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. A meeting of the stewards of the Timaru to Christchurch cycle road race was held to-night to consider protests against several riders. After evidence was taken and the matter discussed, it was decided to disqualify two men for ■accepting a ride in a motor car and J. Arnst for accepting pace from R. Arnst, the latter at the time having ceased to be a competitor in the race. It was alstt decided to call on A. B. L. Smith to show cause why he should not be disqualified for receiving pace from a motor car.
