Piehon, Minister for Foreign Affairs, stated that Spain had agreed to confine her activities to punishing 1110 rebellious tribes. He laid stress on Germany's loyalty in connection with Morocco and said it had resulted in a real entente which ought to be a source of satisfaction to hoth countries. The present outrageous treatment of the Jews protected by France, he said, could not be tolerated any longer. If the Sultan persisted in his present attitude France would be obliged to intervene.
