AUCKLAND SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Tuesday. In the Supreme Court a girl named Isabel Sinclair pleaded guilty to concealing the birth of her child. Mr. Justice Cooper said he would deal with the case as he did with Alice Yates. He did not wish to give the impression that he considered the offence a minor one, but when young girls lapsed this way' through inexperience, and were sometimes lacking in moral training, the best eourse was that calculated to serve them in future. The girl was committed to the Door of Hope for eighteen months. DUNEDIN SESSIONS. Dunedin, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day Edward Burgess, Edward Pyle, and John Healey were charged with having on August 24 robbed James Andrew McLean of fir 2s; and with having used personal violence towards him. There were other counts charging the accused with stealing money and with assault with intent to rob and assault. Owing to McLean not putting in an appearance, it was decided that the case stand over till next sittings. Wm. Brooks, found guilty yosterdty on a charge of acting on a cheque knowing it have been forged, .and who pleaded guilty to a charge of obtaining money by false pretences, was sentenced to twelve months' on each charge, the sentences to run concurrently.
