FIRE BRIGADE v. WAREHOUSEMEN. This match was continued un tlic South Road ground on Suturuay, unuel much ueuer weailier conditions tnan those obtaining on the previous Saturday, The Fire Brigade, who liad made 7U runs for the loss of three wickets, continued their innings. The not-out's of the previous day, (jrani and Best, faced the bowling of Williams aud Greene, but this pair were soon separated, Best losing his wicket to Williams in the first over. Danks and liardwick. became associated shortly after, and they added 20 runs for the seventh wicket before Hardwick missed one from Williams. The remaining three batsmen all failed to score, falling victims to Williams, and leaving Danks not out with 17 runs to his credit. The Fire Brigade innings closed for 111 runs, leaving the Warehousemen 121 to get to win. Williams and White commenced the task for the Warehousemen, and obtained 23 runs before being separated by Williams' being run out. Green followed, but got his leg before one of Danks' and was succeeded by McLaren, i who by careful cricket compiled 19 and saw several of his comrades leave the wickets. The last few wickets did not last long, hut Green got 10 runs belore he was bowled for the last wicket. The | Warehousemen's innings totalled 04 runs, being 56 behind the number set them by the Fire Brigade to obtain, and the latter club thus secured a threepoint win.
