A GIRL MURDERED.
SHOT IN A RESTAURANT. MURDERER AT LARGE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. A shooting fatality happened late tonight. A man named Roberts went t.u a fish-shop in Manchester street and asked to see a girl named Alice Newman, employed in the establishinenr. He followed her up to her room, and then shot her through the head, afterwards making his escape. The girl was killed instantaneously, and the body .was taken to the morgue. The police are searching for the man.
