IRISH LA.\L> BILL. By Gable.— Association.—CopyrigiH London, September 30. The Times slates that the Unionist peers do not consent to the new Congested Districts Hoard. They arc inclined to retain the existing board, with the addition.of a permanent member and estates commissioner, an ex-olfieio member. They feel that the board should be merely an executive authority for resettling estates in eases of migration, enlargement, consolidation or exchange of holdings, while all tlie land purchase should be in tlie hands of the estates commission. THE DEVELOPMENT BILL. Received 1, 9.40 p.m. London, October 1. The Development Bill was pa'sseJ through the Standing Committee. Sir Samuel Evans (Solicitor-General) agTeed it would be advisable to fix the limit of expenditure for new roads. The matter was reserved for consideration at a later stage.
