At a meeting of the Methodist Conference Committee of Temperance and Public Morals to-dav the following motion was carried: "That this committee joins in the protest against having the dismitv and morals of the whole dominion associated with the opening of Tattersalls' Club, in spite of the spirit of recent legislation and of the fact that a very large section of the public holds Tattersalls in abhorrence." A motion was also passed protesting astainst the granting of licenses in the King Country.
