Wellington, Last Xight. The Citv Council to-night adopted regulations for the use of the crematorium recently erected in Karori cemetery, which is now ready for use. The charges were fixed as follows:—To residents of Wellington, week day .€2 12s fid, Sundays C 3 3s: non-residents, £4 4s. The.ve charges include the use of the chapel and all attendance after the body has been placed on the bier inside the chapel.

At a meeting of the Methodist Conference Committee of Temperance and Public Morals to-dav the following motion was carried: "That this committee joins in the protest against having the dismitv and morals of the whole dominion associated with the opening of Tattersalls' Club, in spite of the spirit of recent legislation and of the fact that a very large section of the public holds Tattersalls in abhorrence." A motion was also passed protesting astainst the granting of licenses in the King Country.
