One thousand delegates are attending tile International Veterinary Congress nt the Hague. Mr. G. H. Kniltlw, Federal Statistician, is representing the Commonwealth.
The detection and prevention of tuberculosis was exhaustively discussed. Dr. Hang (Copenhagen) stated that tuberculosis to a large extent was spread among calves and pigs iby the milk produets returned from' co-operative dairies. The law requiring skimmed milk and butter milk to be raised to 80 degrees centigrade before it was used as' a food for animals bad rendered invaluable service against the spread of tuberculosis in Denmark.
