ILLICIT DRINK TRAFFIC. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Friday. ! Alexander McLeod and Robert Wilso n were charged at the Police Court to-day with selling beer .on Sunday without a license. McLeod, against whom there were two former allegations, pleaded guilty and was fined £5 on each of two casts. The police stated that the illicit traffic had been going on for some time Accused had been selling, beer in the street at the rate of Is 6d per bottle, lie took home large quantities on Saturday and sold it in the street next day I Wilson, who pleaded not guilty wis sentenced to six weeks' imprisonment
