THROWN KROM A HOUSE. j By Telegrai li.—Prest Association. Dunedin, Monday. Colin Mcl.<'a:i, 32 years of age, a single man, who was thrown from a horse at (ioodwetod. near Waikouaitf', and who was picked up in an unconscious state, died t"wo hours later. Deceased had his slaill fractured. APPARENT SUICIDK. Hokitika, Monday. A young'man named John Ryan -was found with a bullet wound through the roof of his mouth in a claim at Ross vesterdav and a Winchester lille at his side. Deceased had been absent since Friday but wits thought to havo gone north. No cause is assigned for his apparent suicide. .
A SUDDEN DEATH. .Wellington, Monday. William Higginson. aged 35, died suddenly at a boarding-house in Dixon street this morning. Deceased had been complaining of cold for (I've weeks and had been confined to the house for a day or two. His .roojn-matc called in the doctor, who found him suffering from pneumonia, and ordered hie removal to the hospital. Before he could "be shifted he fell back in 'bed and expired. Deceased is supposed to be si Bingle man, with no relations in New Zealand.
