THE ARBITRATION COURT. LATE MR. BROWN'S SUCCESSOR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Saturday. The Employers' Federation adopted o resolution appreciative of the services rendered by the late Mr. Brown On the Arbitration Court and recomjrnendfag the Federation to appoint either Mr. W. Scott, of Dunedin, or Mr. F. Hobbs, of Christchurch, in his place, Wellington, Saturday. Mr. Pryor, general secretary of the Employers' Association, has been advised that the Canterbury, Otago and Auckland associations, as well as Wellington, support Mr. Scott's nomination as employers' representative on the Arbitration Court, and that Mr. Scott has consented to nomination.
WATERSIDE WORKERS' CON- ' FERENCE. Wellington, Saturday. The Conference of Waterside Workers resumed to-day. In reference to the incident which took place yesterday, the chairman announced that he had boon asked if he would receive a deputation from the Wellington Union.
