EXCESS OF MOISTURE.
DAIRY COMPANY PROSECUTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Saturday. In the Police Court to-day the No,v Zealand Dairy Association was charged with having exported butter containing more than lti per cent, of water. It did not bear cither of the Association's two recognised brands, but the registered mark number 10D Mr. Pacey, secretary of the Association, examined, said the departmental oflicen had stated that the Assoeianon * system of manufacture would not permit excess of moisture, and the Crown Solicitor proceeded to cross-ox-ammo at sonic length, 'whereupon dc lendants solicitor withdrew the plea' of guilty and entered a plea of nit guilty. ' The further hearing was adjourned to .Monday week.
