Accused, who is well known in Wellington as Dr. Jioranol!', a self-styled Russian exile and political refugee, was | arrested in .Hastings some daws ago, and mis remanded from there to 'Wellington. Ho has been in custody all the time. -Mr. Hindmarsh appeared on behalf of accused and applied for a remand until Monday next. He wished to bring a witness from Keatherston. Chief Detective uroberg hud no objection to tlie remand, which was accordingly granted. Oil Mr. Ilindnrarsh's application bail was allow ed in accused's own recoguisauce of .tilt! and one surety 0 £ .CIO.
