TWO LIVES LOST; 18 INJURED.

The train was rushing over ,i small bridge when the bridge collapsed, wrecking the engine and three carriages. A mail ,man names Reeves and a commerical traveller named Mackie were killed outright and 11 injured. There arc but meagre details. Received July 20, 1 a.m. Brisbane, July 25. The bridge, was under repair at the time it collapsed. Luckily it wag a low structure, the overturned carriage dropping only five feet. The engine remained on the line. Several chains of the permanent way were lorn up. A special train with doctors aboard was (jiiickly on the scene. There were 18 injured, the majority slightly. The most serious nre Souter, Morgan, G. Lasson, Scanlon, Nagen and Thorn. They are suffering either from broken Wins or severe bruises and shock.
