Leatham reported to the Hospital Board yesterday that four senior nurses (Nurses Treeby, Muir, Kirk and Barnitt) at the New Plymouth hospital had passed the State examination, and would now receive their certiiicates. Two of them (Nurses Treeby and Barnitt) had also passed the examination held for the Board's own hospital certificate of competency, and two juniors (nurses McAllupi and Tolmc) had passed the examination held hy the medical stall'. He recommended that Nurses Treeby and Burnett be appointed junior stall' nurses.—This recommendation was adopted,
