ALLEGED FALSE PRETENCES. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. At the Magistrate's Court to-day, lhomas Lester was remanded to appear at Lltham next Friday on a charge of obtaining from Frederick Northcote « pony, trap and harness, valued at £35, by false pretences.

A FALSE DECLARATION.

Cliristchrucli, Last Night. A man named James Weston pleaded guilty to-day to n charge of making a false declaration to obtain a marriage certificate, he being at the time already married. He was committed to the supreme Court for sentence.
