SUPREME COURT.
AUCKLAND SESSIONS, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Friday. A young man, Henry Williams, who was found at midnight recently loaded with gelignite and burglars' tools, was sentenced to three years' imprisonment. PATTERSON FOUND GUILTY. Napier, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day, John James Patterson, solicitor, of Danuevirke, was found guilty of breaches of the Bankruptcy Act in that he had failed to keep proper books of accounts', had failed to deliver certain books, etc., to the Deputy Official Assignee, and had mutilated a certain book. Accused had been engaged in the storekeeping and milling businesses, in addition to legal practice. Mr. Justice Chapman said he would take into consideration the position which accused had held and his advancing years, and sentenced him to two years' imprisonment 'without hard labor.
