In his monthly report to the Wanganui Education Board, the unci inspector (Mr. Braik) said of technical instruction in southern Taranakk—Mr. Browne's report is .brimming over with the results of the energy displayed in his district by those interested in technical instruction. At Kapuni, for example, 25 pupils had enrolled for bookkeeping, and classes are also to be started in agriculture, dairying, English, and arithmetic, in addition to the dressmaking class, now existing, une speaks well within the mark when saying that the people of South Taranaki' take an intense interest in education, be it primary, secondary, or technical.
