AMUSEMENTS.

TAYLOK-CAIIIUNGTON PICTURES. The Taylor-Carringtou humanised pictures will li e presented at the Theatre Royal 10-niomnv night. It is a benefit performance given in aid of the Beautifying Association funds by the management in token of their appreciation of the manner in which their entertainments have been patronised by New Plymouth playgoers. An entirely new programme of dramatic, comic, scenic, instructive and pantomimic films will be presented, including a wry line sensational picture entitled "The Motor Car Heroine," in which over 300 people and fully 211 motor-cars are engaged. During tin- racing scene two of the cars are completely wrecked, whilst another is burnt to ashes. So realistic is this picture that, when the villians roll a huge log to wreck the heroine's car, the audience hiss as vigorously as though the actors were real llesh mid blond. Scuts may lie reserved at the Collier anil Colonial' Piano Company's.
