MAXAWATU FIXTURES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston if., Last Nigiht. The lianawatu Rugby Union to-night made the following fixtures, all, at Palmerston:—'Taranaii, August 11; Awarua (Taihape) Union, August 21; and Poverty Bay Union, August 17. FOOTBALLERS' TEETH. ' Auckland, Last Night. The Auckland Rugby Union pays for repairs to the teeth of players riijured in playing matches, but it pays only such expenses as seem reasonable to the committee. At a meeting of the committee last night it was decided that gold fillings were not reasonable. A player who had had a front tooth chipped forwarded a dentist's bill for one guinea, and the Union committee decided to offer him half a guinea and suggest that he pay the remainder himself.
