By Telegraph,—Press Association. Gisborne Last Night. A well-attended meeting of citizens took place in the theatre to-night to consider the question of defence; The following resolution was carried unanimously:- --"That in view of the extreme activity of the nations in training thenmanhood for military' purposes, it is' the opinion of this meeting that tile time has arrived when the Government should introduce legislation requiring all the youths of the Dominion to go through a course of military training so far as possible before they arrive at the age of 21 years, so that the manhood of this Dominion may be qualified to do their duty in its defence should smch a necessity arise."
