KAITAKK UIFLE CLUB. On Ist .lime the Knitake liifle Club, Oakura. held a .practice for trophies. The conditions were very favorable for high scoring, (1,,, w j, l( [ | l( , m „ „j| ~|wexcept at the latter end the light was fair. At 000 yards .Messrs Roy Corkill and C. (.!. drover each scored a'possible, and as t'lit-y were firing, alternately at the same target, caused the marker to display the white disc 14 times in succession. Jlr. drover finally placed to his credit tin- record for the Kaitake range with 1(12, out of a possible 11)5, made up as follows :-20llvds 34 oOOvds So, (ii)Oyds 33; grand total 102,' out ol 10j. Mr. Roy Corkill' s shoot at 000 yds was a. very creditable performance," as he is only a. young shot: but your correspondent thinks that a good deal more will be heard of him in rille shooting circles, as Ins shooting lias always been good and consistent of late.
