PARIS POSTAL STRIKE.
AN INEFFECTIVE LABOR ORGANISATION. SHADOWY POWER, Received IS, 10.57 p.m. Paris, May 18.
The disillusionment caused .by the failure of every strike patronised by the General Confederation of Labor, which for months past has bluflingly professed its; ability to paralyse society and the Government, explains the collapse of the postal' strike in Paris. M. Xiel, secretary of the Confederation, addressing the Miners' Congress at Lens, sorrowfulKi- admitted that the organisation merely existed on paper and urged the workers to make it a reality. The speech was' interpreted as a "swan song" of the present revolutionary agitation.
Forty-six more postal strikers have been dismissed.
