A conference between representatives of the Tramway Hoard and of the Tramway Employees' Union was held to-night to discuss matters connected with the conditions of labor and the rates of pay. These matters have, been before the Conciliation Commissioner for (some time, and have been the subject of discussion before him. The recommendations of the Conciliation Commissioner were submitted and adopted, the agreement arrived at being satisfactory to both sides. The matter was a complicated one, and has taken a month to bring to a satisfactory conclusion.
