CABINET'S ACTIOS SUPPORTED.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. (Jhristehnrch, Last Xighl. The North Canterbury executive of the Farmers' Union agreed to-day to a motion, "That recognising the impor.iti\e necessity of England maintaining its naval niipreinucy in order to keep open our trade routes and to ensure 'the safety of our seaborne commerce, this executive expresses its entire approval of Sir Joseph Ward's spirited and timely offer of assistance to the Homo Government.''
At a meeting of the committee of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association to-day, the following motion was agreed to:—"That the committee representing the agricultural and pastoral interests of Canterbury, while desiring, the adherence to constitutional principles in the Government of the country and regretting Hint any necessity should arise for departure therefrom, nevertheless in tho emergency of an occasion, entirely approved of the action of Cabinet in recognising their responsibility and milking the same in a manner worthy of a loyal and patriotic people bv their prompt offer of substantial assistance."
